Jydepejsen & the environment
It is important to Jydepejsen that the wood-burning stoves they
produce meet strict environmental requirements. As a manufacturer,
we wish to sell wood-burning stoves with low particle emission and
a high level of efficiency to the benefit of the environment and
our customers.
Jydepejsen's wood-burning stoves are environmentally friendly
because the heat source is Co2 neutral, which means that burning of
wood releases approximately the same amount of Co2 as if it were
left to decay on the forest floor. It is, however, important that
you also look after the environment by only burning dry wood. The
burning of wet wood, household waste and insufficient inflow of
oxygen when burning release gas and particles which are harmful to
the environment. Our woodburning stoves emit less than 5g/kg. This
means that they meet the requirements of Swan Eco labelling. Our
wood-burning stoves emit less than five grams of particles per
kilogram of wood burned.
In by far the majority of countries, trees are constantly
replanted, which helps to ensure the future energy supply without
jeopardising the forested areas and plantations. So you can fire up
your wood-burning stove safe in the knowledge that you are not
harming the environment.
